Garden Delight

This is a photo from my garden last year. What an absolute delight to observe this monarch butterfly enjoying the fruit of my labor! I had the privilege of watching several different kinds of butterflies enjoying the Mexican Sunflowers all summer long, oh my!!

I sat outside to paint this one because the weather was unseasonably warm and beautiful today. It energized me to work with that beautiful orange pigment. Though winter is just around the corner, summer lives on, year-round, in my heart, and I think I have enough pictures of my garden to keep me busy for quite awhile!
